Blog 23: Exit Interview

1) What is your essential question, and what are your answers?  What is your best answer and why?

- Essential Question: How can a primary care nurse best ensure the quality of care for patients?
- Answer 1: A primary care nurse can best ensure the quality care of patients by first taking some time to do some self-refection of their own.
- Answer 2: A primary care nurse can best ensure the quality of care of patients by then having direct communication.
- Answer 3: A primary care nurse can best ensure the quality of care for patients by then addressing spiritual beliefs.
- Best Answer: Having Direct Communication : Without this, nothing is possible between a patient and a nurse. This is the foundation of anything else that a patient and nurse discuss about.

(2) What process did you take to arrive at this answer?

- Process: During my mentorship, Nurse Rose Robledo, actually brought this up during one of our conferences. Immediately, I knew that this was true and very crucial when a patient and a doctor are communicating, so I decided to do research after research and understand it a lot better.

(3) What problems did you face?  How did you resolve them?

- When coming up with all three answers, looking for the right sources was a problem because there's so much information and especially information that can throw you off a bit. When I had an abundance of information, it was hard to try to keep it all in one place, or rely on everything - so I had to research even further and get exactly what I was looking for.

(4) What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question and why?

- Two of the most significant sources that I used were: NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) and The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing.
